Again from one of my favorite blogs, Pajamas Media… The Truth About Traders!
Here are some of my favorite quotes;
The trading floor is a slice of Americana. Santelli descried it as a cross section of America, and it is. No matter which floor you walk on — the NYSE, CME, CBOT, or CBOE — you will see people of all skin colors, all economic classes, and from all walks of life. Democrats and Republicans. It’s a place where you can see a Harvard MBA rub elbows and fight for a trade with a person that barely graduated high school.
Some more;
Here is what is very different about traders and most Americans. Traders live in a very risky environment. They make decisions very quickly that will make or lose a lot of money. They have extremely high stressful jobs, and there is no guarantee that they will have their jobs tomorrow. Traders are pretty confident and humble all at the same time. Things happen on a trading floor in seconds, and those seconds mean the difference between success and failure. It’s really living life on the edge of a razor in the most competitive environment organized by mankind.
MY FAVORITE!
This is why it’s particularly irksome to a trader to see General Motors get bailed out. It really bugs us when we see people that overreached in the housing market get bailed out. It’s especially galling when the government raises our income taxes to pay for it all. The money is hard and risky enough to make without the government confiscating it. There is no such thing as redistribution of wealth on a trading floor.
The trading floor is the most democratic, entrepreneurial place in America. Markets don’t care about who you are, what school you went to, how your dressed, or what skin color you are. Markets only care about the best bid and the best offer. They are oblivious to everything else.

To really understand the nationalization of health care and how this is a BAD THING, you have to look up the Benny Hill skit he did on the British nationalized health care system.

How ironic it is, the “Chicago Machine” has taken over the White House and Chicago now is the start of the New TEA PARTY! Boy oh boy, if I was in Chicago during this I would be there.
Here is Michelle Malkin’s blog with a ton of links to follow on this ground swelling movement…
Here is an important date for everyone…
I’m happy to report on several new protest events now on the docket.
My friend Michael Patrick Leahy of Top Conservatives on Twitter and his crew are spearheading “simultaneous local tea parties around the country, beginning in Chicago, and including Washington DC, Fayetteville NC, San Diego CA, Omaha Nebraska, and dozens of other locations” for next Friday.
Time: February 27, 2009 from 12pm to 1pm
Location: Chicago, Washington DC, other cities, Twitter
Go to OfficialChicagoTeaParty.com for all the info.
Everyone please go to: Official Chicago Tea Party and show your support!

Again from Pajamas Media more about the back lash on this stimulus package. Another article on this crap sandwich and the growing protests!
This is from a blog called “Roger’s Rules” on Pajamas Media. Rick Santelli from CNBC is now the MAN!
Here are some of my favorite passages…
As to style: how about a little “transparency”? Why don’t we actually debate the provisions of this $787,000,000,000 plan before passing it? Didn’t the current President of the United States promise “a new era of responsibility” in the way government does business?
“The new administration,” observed Mr. Santelli,
is big on computers and technology. How about this, Mr. President and new administration. Why don’t you put up a website to have people vote on the internet as a referendum to see if we really want to subsidize the losers mortgages? Or would they like to at least buy cars, buy a house that is in foreclosure — give it to people who might have a chance to actually prosper down the road and reward people that can carry the water instead of drink the water?
What do you reckon the results of that referendum would be? Mr. Santelli then dilated on the “spread-the-wealth-around” confiscatory assumption behind the White House plan.
How many people want to pay for your neighbor’s mortgages that has an extra bathroom and can’t pay their bills? Raise their hand! [A chorus of boos, but no hands raised.]
President Obama, are you listening?
You know Cuba used to have mansions and a relatively decent economy. They moved from the individual to the collective. Now they’re driving ‘54 Chevys.
It’s time for another tea party.
What we are doing in this country will make Thomas Jefferson and Benjamin Franklin roll over in their graves.
You said it! And Washington, Madison, and Hamilton would be rolling over along with them.
I know I could not have said it better myself!
Here is the bottom line, and I have said it along with others on both sides of the political fence… The $800 Billion dollar stimulus (crap sandwich) package WILL NOT WORK! You have to view this ad, spend $1,000,000.00 US Dollars a day since Jesus Christ was born and you will not have spent what congress and this administration has just saddled the US taxpayer for!!!
I knew this prior to the election and after only one month the proof is there… This is the agenda for this administration, put liberalism/socialism in power for the next 30+ years. Why do I know this? Well, when these guys say that FDR did not spend “enough” and “fast enough” you know you are in trouble!

We are going to spend (on the low end here, because these bailout packages are no where near done!) about 2 to 2.5 TRILLION dollars. In my previous post regarding this crap sandwich we could give the money directly to the unemployed and get out of this cheaper!
From Michelle Malkin’s blog and the Angry Renters blog…
I want you to look at this chart, via AngryRenter.com. While ACORN and the housing entitlement mob get all the press, look who’s not getting attention.

Now, here’s some feedback in response to my appearance on FNC’s Neil Cavuto show this afternoon in support of renters (self included) who are getting the shaft from the housing entitlement-mongers:
From reader Sean…
Michelle,
I just saw you on Cavuto and had to write. Thank you for being someone who actually gets it. Both my wife and I enjoy your commentary. My wife and I were married in 2006 and currently rent an apartment in Columbia, MO. Our rent is cheap and we were going to buy a house when we got married but figured we would be responsible and save our money for a large down payment. We have held off buying a home because we felt the need to be financially sound and have an investment into our home. Neither of us have any debt, my MBA is paid for, and we have saved enough for a large down payment. We are now ready to buy a home, only to realize we are getting screwed by our government. It’s a sad day when those who are not responsible are rewarded for being complete dolts! Anyways….we’ll make it. Thanks for sticking up for us.
From reader Randy…
Michelle,
Thank you for saying on national TV what I have not heard anyone else say. My wife and I made a personal decision to not buy a home, because we knew we could not afford one. My wife and I rent, and are aggressively trying to get out of debt from when we were both in college. She is a pre-school teacher, and i work for the local Republican Party. We looked at purchasing a home, but decided we wanted to be able to put at least 10% down. Our combined income is less than $55,000 a year. We both work hard. We both expect to pay taxes, but we don’t think it is right to have to bail others out who made bad decisions. Whatever happened to personal responsibility?
Who is out there speaking on behalf of us working, trying to live what we perceive to be the American Dream, which is not living off of government hand outs. We appreciate your message, and encourage you to continue taking every opportunity to get the message out.

Hope and Change, another perspective from my favorite blog… Take your time read this post and look around the site, LOL!
The CBOT has voted on the crap sandwich, as the NYSE and other markets… CBOT erupts for capitalism… Santelli;s Chicago Tea Party!
The scariest thing about this presidency is the idea that President Obama could appoint one if not two new judges to the Supreme Court. The effect will be that this new court, obviously leaning WAY left, will overturn any and all legislation that does not fit the liberal mold. Think back a few years to California that passed a law and the Circuit Court overturned it! Thus taking the only power the people have—THE VOTE! Sorry I cannot remember the law passed by referendum but am thinking it was English as the language of California, any help would be appreciated.
